FC Westchester fields U16 and U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams. The U.S. Soccer Develpopment Academy is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and the top youth clubs around the country to provide the best youth players in the U.S. with a top-level training environment.

The Academy’s programming philosophy of increased training, less total games and more competitive games is based on U.S. Soccer’s Best Practices. In addition to its U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams, FC Westchester boys' program fields U.S. Pre-Academy and premier teams led by a  top coaching staff.

The U.S. Soccer Development Academy has announced it is moving to a season that will start in September commencing with the 2012-13 season. Sarasota, FL (December 6, 2011) -- FC Westchester’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams had a successful trip to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase in Sarasota, with the U16s going unbeaten and the U18s winning two and losing just once.

The FC Westchester U16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy team once again made it to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy League national playoffs, which were held June 24-28 at the Pizza Hut Park Soccer Complex.

Two FC Westchester players -- Hiroki Kobayashi and Taylor Washington -- have been named to U.S. Soccer Development Academy U17/U18 All Conference First XI Team.

FC Westchester’s U16s topped NY Red Bull 3-0 today in U.S. Soccer Development Academy, getting two goals from Cesar Ceja and one from Lucas McBride.  Meanwhile, in the U18 match, FC Westchester came back from one goal down on goal by Hiroki Kobayashi to tie Red Bull 1-1.  The games were played in Newark, NJ.

Soccer America -- the nation’s leading soccer publication -- has named FC Westchester one of the Top 30 Best Boys Youth Clubs in the United States for 2010.
