FC Westchester's U18 team defeated Albertson 2-1, while the U16s battled to a 1-1 tie in U.S. Soccer Development Academy action in games played at Purchase College.

In the U18 match, Albertson's Badir Sherman put Albertson on top 1-0 in the 23rd minute, but just a minute later Brian "Cobi" Span evened the score with the first of his goals on the afternoon. Ten minutes after his first goal, Span hammered home a rebound off a blast from FCW's Hiroki Kobayashi with what proved to be the winning tally.

In the U16 match, Albertson went out on top off a free kick in the 25th minute, but FCW struck back about 10 minutes later then Gabe Stauber put a ball into the box to Andres Penfold, who back headed the ball into the Albertson net for the game-tying goal.

FCW now has nine days off before hosting Met Oval at Purchase College. The U16s play at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6 and the U18s play on Wednesday, April 7 at 7 p.m.
