FC Westchester U16s and U18s Battle To Ties With PDA In U.S. Soccer Development Academy Matches
FC Westchester’s U16 and U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams both battled to ties with PDA in matches played at PDA.
Wednesday night, the U16s battled to a 0-0 tie Both teams had good chances in the first half, but FCW’s Alex Kapp made an acrobatic save on a PDA shot, and PDA’s keeper made a good save off an FCW point blank header. Then, in the second half, it looked like FC Westchester scored with about five minutes to go, but the goal was waved off on an offside.
Thursday night, FC Westchester and PDA played to a 1-1 tie. FC Westchester got on the board first midway through the first half when Brian "Cobi" Span scored off a corner kick. PDA than evened the score midway through the second half.
FC Westchester’s U18 and U16 Academy teams next host Albertson Sunday at Purchase College with the U16s kicking off at noon and the U18s kicking off at 2 p.m.
