2012-2013 Tryout Information

FC WESTCHESTER WILL FIELD THE FOLLOWING BOYS TEAMS FOR THE 2012-13 SEASON

U.S. Soccer Development Academy Teams...these teams are formed by calendar year and participate on the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program.

U18 (for those born in 1994/1995)
U16 (for those born in 1996/1997):

U.S. Pre-Development Academy Teams…these teams for formed by calendar year and participate in the U.S. Northeast Pre-Academy League:

Premier Teams (formed by 8/1-7/31 birth year)…these teams will play in highly-competitive regional premier leagues:

U15 (8/1/97-7/31/98):
U14 (8/1/98-7/31/99):
U13 (8/1/99-7/31/00):

2002/2003-04 Pre-Academy Training Groups for those born in 2002, 2003 and 2004:

These training groups receive high level training 3x/week in the fall and spring and 2x/week in the winter as a supplement to a player’s home club program and prepares players to participate when they get older in the FCW Development Academy program

SPECIFIC TRYOUT DATES AND TIMES WILL BE POSTED ON OR AROUND MARCH 10th. THE FIRST TRYOUT LIKELY WILL BE ON MAY 31.

NOTE ABOUT TRYOUT LOCATIONS:

Tryouts at SUNY Purchase will be at the SUNY Purchase Soccer Complex
Tryouts at White Plains H.S. are at Loucks Stadium
Tryouts at Parker Stadium are located at Highland Middle School in White Plains

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON PLAYER PLACEMENT:

o In the U16, U17 and U18 age groups, after tryouts, players who are selected will be placed on either the club’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams or the club’s premier teams.

o In the U13, U14 and U15 age groups, players selected will be placed on either the club’s Pre-U.S. Development Academy teams or the club’s premier teams.

o In the U11 and U12 age groups, selected players will be placed on the club’s premier team.

About Our Tryouts

FC Westchester holds open tryouts each year for all our teams.

Tryouts allow teams to replace players who have dropped off or who have moved on. Tryouts also provide ambitious. talented players, not currently with FC Westchester, the chance to join a stronger, more competitive club like FC Westchester, a club designated by the U.S. Soccer Soccer Federation to be a U.S. Soccer Development Academy program.
