FC Westchester fields 1999, 1998, U14 (1997) and U15 (1996) Pre-Development Academy teams that play in the U.S. Club Northeast Pre-Academy League, which gets players ready for play in the U16 and U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy program.  

In the U13, U14 and U15 age groups, the U.S. Club Northeast Pre-Academy League is comprised of virtually all of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs.

In the 1999 age group, participating clubs are:  FC Westchester, Cosmos East Academy, Albertson SC, South Central Premier, Oakwood SC, PDA, NJSA, Match Fit Academy and NY Red Bulls.

This team is coached by Edgar Quiroga, the former head coach at Iona Prep and a long-time youth coach who has taken several FC Westchester teams to State Cup championships and finals. He is assisted by Matt McGuire, a former top player in Rockland County.

The FC Westchester 1997 team -- which this fall will play in U.S. Club Northeast Pre-Academy League-- is coached by James Quiroga, a former assistant coach at Iona College and long time player and youth coach with the club, who has taken FC Westchester teams to State Cup Championships and finals. In fact, in the spring of 2009, he won the U13 State Cup championship. He is assisted by Jay Riordan, a long time successful youth coach.

Coaching Staff:  The team is coached by Carlos Casas, a former star at Boston College and a long-time successful youth coach. He grew up playing at FC Westchester and as a FCW player won numerous State Cup titles and prestigious tournament crowns.  He has also been a coach in the Eastern NY ODP Program.  He is assisted by Julian Grajales, formerly a star at Iona College who, like Casas, grew up as an FC Westchester player where he won State Cup and tournament titles with the FCW '89s.

The team's coaching staff includes Marcos Monteagudo, Massimo Gargiulo, Brian Robinson and Mario Aceto. 

Coach Monteagudo has been the head coach at Iona Prep for the past two years, winning both a state championship and a CHSAA championship during his time at the helm of the Gaels.  Prior to entering into coaching, Monteagudo was  a top player at D1 Iona College, where he earned four letters and captained the squad during this senior year,

Coach Gargiulo has been dedicated to developing youth soccer in various Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) clubs for past 15 years. A holder of a USSF National "B" License, he has an M.S. in Athletic Administration and Supervision, a B.S. in Physical Education and has taught health and physical education on a high school level for almost two decades. He was captain for NCAA Division I St. Francis College and has played semi-professionally for 20 years in both Italy and the USA. Massimo was an assistant coach at St. Francis College, head Coach at NY Tech, head coach at Columbus High School in the Bronx and a head coach in the WYSL Select program.

Coach Robinson Robinson is a long-time youth coach who has a USSF "C" License, an NSCAA Advanced Natonal License and National Youth License, as well as an KNVB Advanced Coaching Diploma and an KNVB Youth Coaching Diploma. He also holds the International Youth Conditioning Association Certification.

Coach Aceto was a top defender at Iona College where he was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
