Coaching Staff: Jim McElderry, the head men’s coach at Fordham University which plays in the Atlantic 10 conference. He has led Fordham to the Atlantic 10 Championships twice in the past three years.Prior to Fordham, he served as an assistant coach at Fairfield University. McElderry joins FC Westchester after having been a National Scout with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program. He has also been a coach with the Region I Olympic Development Program As a player, McElderry was a four-year letterman at Fairfield, earning several post-season honors including the 1992 MAAC Player of the Year award. McElderry was inducted into the Fairfield Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998. Following graduation, McElderry played professionally for the New York Fever of the A-League from 1994-97 and then for the Long Island Rough Riders (A-League) from 1997-98. He also played for the New York Freedoms, a Division 3 team, for four seasons. Jim is assisted by Boris Bandov, formerly a star player with the world famous New York Cosmos (where he played with the likes of Pele, Beckenbauer and Carlos Alberto) and a former US National Team member. 

The 2008-09 and 2009-10 team made it to the Academy playoffs.  The 2007-08 U18 team won the Academy League’s Northeast Division and made it to the Academy Finals event held at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.

Coaching Staff:  David McCollum is a long-time ENYYSA ODP coach and a four-time winner of the ENYYSA State Cup championship as coach of the reknow Yorktown Spirit squad.  A former professional player in Germany, the Ireland native has developed several players who have gone on to major Division 1 college programs, including UConn, University of Maryland, Princeton, Michigan State, Brown, Albany, Binghamton, Sacred Heart, Marist and so on. Four of his past players  players were drafted by the MLS: Kevin Reiman (Salt Lake Real); Dane Murphy (DC United); Ryan Cordiero (DC United) and Laurant Manuel (Red Bull NY) .  He is assisted by Lonny Unger, who has been a Division 1 and Division 3 college coach for more than a decade and has also served as one of the directors of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association ODP program. He has been a Division 1 assistant coach at both Iona College and Manhattan College and was the men’s soccer head coach at Purchase College, SUNY. While at Purchase College, he won Hudson Valley Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year honors. He has also been a staff coach for the ENYYSA ODP program and a Super Y League ODP regional staff coach. He is an USSF licensed coach and holds a KNVB coaching certificate from the Netherlands.

The team participates in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy League and in both the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons made it to the Academy playoffs. 

This team is coached by Edgar Quiroga, the former head coach at Iona Prep and a long-time youth coach who has taken several FC Westchester teams to State Cup championships and finals. He is assisted by Matt McGuire, a former top player in Rockland County.

In 2009-10, the will participate in the US Club Soccer U15 Academy League.

Coached by  James Quiroga.  Coach Quiroga, currently the head men's coach at Mount St. Vincent College and formerly an assistant men’s coach at Iona College, has worked over the years with a number of FC Westchester teams, including several that have won State Cup championships.  He will be assisted by Jay Riordan, a long-time FC Westchester coach.

The team will play in the Northeast Pre-Academy League in 2010-11..

The FC Westchester 1997 team -- which this fall will play in U.S. Club Northeast Pre-Academy League-- is coached by James Quiroga, a former assistant coach at Iona College and long time player and youth coach with the club, who has taken FC Westchester teams to State Cup Championships and finals. In fact, in the spring of 2009, he won the U13 State Cup championship. He is assisted by Jay Riordan, a long time successful youth coach.

Coaching Staff:  The team is coached by Carlos Casas and Brent Gaylord. Coach Casas is a former star at Boston College and a long-time successful youth coach. He grew up playing at FC Westchester and as a FCW player won numerous State Cup titles and prestigious tournament crowns.  He is also a staff coach with the Eastern NY ODP Program.  Coach Gaylord has been an assistant coach at Manhattan College and was previously a top player at Dominican College where he received All-Conference honors. He is also a head coach with the Eastern NY ODP program.

The team will be playing in the U.S. Club Northeast Pre-Academy League.
 

The FCW 1993 Team is coached by Brian Robinson, who has a USSF "C" and National Youth License; KNVB Advanced Coaching Diploma and KNVB Youth Coaching Diploma. He also holds the International Youth Conditioning Association Certification.

This team will again be participating in the USYSA Region

The FCW 1994 Team is coached by Jack Gigli, who has been coaching youth soccer in New York for over 25 years. He has a USSF "B" license and is currently Head Coach, White Plains Men’s Junior Varsity Team and trains several White Plains Youth Soccer Club boy’s teams. Jack also serves as a trainer for WYSL Select Program. He has won 3 state championships, 1 regional and 1 one national final.

The FCW 1995 Team is coached by Massimo Gargiulo, who has been dedicated to developing youth soccer in various Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) clubs for past 15 years. A holder of a USSF National "B" License, he has an M.S. in Athletic Administration and Supervision, a B.S. in Physical Education and has taught health and physical education on a high school level for almost two decades. He was captain for NCAA Division I St. Francis College and has played semi-professionally for 20 years in both Italy and the USA. Massimo was Assistant Coach at St. Francis College, head Coach at NY Tech, head coach at Columbus High School in the Bronx and a head coach in the WYSL Select program.

This team finished first in its Eastern New York Presidents League U15 Division this past and this coming year will be attending major college showcases and plans on participating in the USYSA Region 1 Northeast Regional Premier League along with MAPS.

The FCW 1995 White Team is coached by Fran Ula, who holds an USSF "C" License; Fran has been involved in youth soccer for various years and has worked with the White Plains Youth Soccer Club, Larchmont, Harrison youth soccer club. He is currently the assistant coach of the Harrison High School Boys Varsity soccer team. He has a masters degree in Italian and speaks three languages.

This team will be attending major college showcases this coming year and is planning on participating in the Eastern New York Presidents league and MAPS play in the Spring 2011.

The team is coached by Diego Montequedo and Mark Silvester. Coach Monteguedo is a coach at Iona Prep and a former collegiate player at Iona College. Coach Silvester is a long-time youth coach in the Westchester area. He’s the Director of Coaching for the Scarsdale Youth Soccer Club and was the original coach and trainer of the FC Westcheter 1984 team that eventually went on to win the U16 USYSA National Championship.

These teams will be playing in the Eastern NY Quad Premier League and in the WYSL.
