Ryan Casey,Director of Coaching U16 / U18 Development Academy Coach
Ryan Casey is the club's Director of Coaching as well as the head coach of the Everton FC Westchester U16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy team.
In his Director of Coaching role Casey is responsible for elevating the level of the club’s player performance and of the coaching staff’s teaching and leadership performance. In particulalr, he works with the club's coaches on implementation of the club’s training curriculum consistent with the overall player/team development philosophy of U.S. Soccer, combined with Everton F.C.’s the “Everton Way coaching philosophy.”
Casey joined Everton FC Westchester in September 2013 after spending seven years working for the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), during which time he was a member of the Republic of Ireland U-15/U-16 international boys coaching staff.
Holder of the prestigious UEFA A coaching license and a fully qualified level 3 UEFA coach educator, he has guided and developed players that have gone on to earn professional contracts with the top teams in the English Premier League such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton. In Ireland, Ryan was head coach at a FAI emerging talent regional center where he was responsible for the implementation of curriculum in line with UEFA best practices and education of coaches within a tri-county area. . During his 15-year professional player career, Ryan played for Swansea City FC, St. Pats Athletic FC, Cork City FC, Melbourne Knights, Galway United and Athlone Town FC.
Casey was part of what was known as the “golden generation” of Republic of Ireland youth soccer in the late 1990s. He played for the Republic of Ireland at the U-17 to U-20 level and during that time he won the U-18 European Championships in Cyprus in 1998 in a squad that included players such as Robbie Keane, Damien Duff and Richard Dunne. He also represented the Republic of Ireland in the U-20 World Cup in Nigeria in 1999.

Stephen Carson, U18 Development Academy Head Coach / '99 NEPAL Head Coach (*assigned 14/15 season starting Sept 2014)
Stephen has played professional for over 17 years throughout Europe, also representing Northern Ireland and making his international debut in June 2009 against Italy. Stephen was the Youth Development Officer at Coleraine Football Club and holds and Honors degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences. Stephen’s primary responsibility starting September 2014 will be with the U15-1999 Pre-Academy and U18-1997 Academy teams.

Jim McElderry, U16 Development Coach / College Liason
Jim McElderry has been head men’s coach at Fordham University for 10 years. He has led Fordham to the Atlantic 10 Championships twice in the past three years and in 2011 was named the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year. McElderry joined FC Westchester in 2010 after having been a National Scout with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program. He has also been a coach with the Region I Olympic Development Program As a player, McElderry was a four-year letterman at Fairfield, earning several post-season honors including the 1992 MAAC Player of the Year award. McElderry was inducted into the Fairfield Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998. Following graduation, McElderry played professionally for the New York Fever of the A-League from 1994-97 and then for the Long Island Rough Riders (A-League) from 1997-98. He also played for the New York Freedoms, a Division 3 team, for four seasons.

John Mulhare: '02 NEPAL Coach
USSF C License/ MA in Sports Psychology .
Played, and coached for several clubs in Ireland .
Returned to Westchester 10 Years ago and coached Mt Pleasant soccer club to 3 consecutive division titles.
Has coached several additional clubs in the WYSL and NYCSL to division titles.
Has coached the 02 Everton FC Westchester team for the last two seasons ( with both Blue and White teams winning last years NEPAL divisions.

Massimo Gargiulo: '01 NEPAL Coach
Massimo Gargiulo has been dedicated to developing youth soccer in various Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) clubs for past 15 years. A holder of a USSF National "B" License, he has an M.S. in Athletic Administration and Supervision, a B.S. in Physical Education and has taught health and physical education on a high school level for almost two decades. He was captain for NCAA Division I St. Francis College and has played semi-professionally for 20 years in both Italy and the USA. Massimo was an assistant coach at St. Francis College, head Coach at NY Tech, head coach at Columbus High School in the Bronx and a head coach in the WYSL Select program.

J.P. Arenas is an FC Westchester alum who played college soccer at Manhattanville and who also played in the Division 3 Final Four with Oneonta State University.

Mark Silvester, '99 Premier Team Coach, U12 & U13 Premier Coach
Silvester is a long-time youth coach in the Westchester area with 25 years of experience. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, he was a high school MVP and All-County performer in 1981 in Westchester and then played at Concordia College in Bronxville where his team won a national title. Previously, he was the Director of Coaching for WSA and prior to that was the Director of Coaching for the Scarsdale Youth Soccer Club, where he won 2 state cup titles. Mark was the original coach and trainer of the FC Westchester 1984 team that eventually went on to win the U16 USYSA National Championship. Holder of a USSF "B" License and NSCAA Premier and Advance National licenses, he also has a KNVB Dutch Youth National certificate.

James Quiroga, 2004 Team Coach
Coach Quiroga is currently an assistant coach at Division 1 Iona College after serviing as the head coach at Division 3 Purchase College and head coach at Division 3 Mount St. Vincent College. With FC Westchester since 1997, he has guided FCW teams to the New York State finals in 2001, 2003, and 2008 and has won the New York State Championship five times: 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Among the players he helped develop at FC Westchester are Tom McNamara and Cobi Span, both of whom starred in college (at Brown Univ./Clemson Univ. and the University of Virginia, respectively) and are now playing in the MLS.

Luis Arenas, 2004 Team Coach
Luis Arenas has been coaching youth soccer for more than 15 years. A coach of the men’s soccer team at Mt. Saint Vincent College in Riverdale, NY, he has worked with FC Westchester more over 10 years and has had teams that have won the New York State Championship four times. Coach Arenas has worked with Westchester Youth Soccer League Select Program and has trained various teams in the White Plains Youth Soccer Club. He currently has a USSF National “D” License and is in the process of obtaining with USSF National “C” License over the next few months.

Brian Robinson: '03 Team Coach
Robinson has a USSF "C" License, an NSCAA Advanced Natonal License and National Youth License, as well as an KNVB Advanced Coaching Diploma and an KNVB Youth Coaching Diploma. He also holds the International Youth Conditioning Association Certification.

Julian Grajales: '02 Team Coach,
Grajales, who served as captain at D1 Iona College, was one of the top midfielders in the MAAC and played for FC Westchester’s very successful 1989 team, which won multiple State Cup and tournament titles.

Leon Othen, Goalkeeping Coach
Othen worked at Arsenal FC's Academy in the UK as a goalkeeper coach before coming to the United States full time in 2005. Othen played in the UK with Leyton Orient FC of the English Football League and in Malaysia with Public Bank FC. He has an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA and a UEFA B License. He has also been involved at the college level working as a goalkeeper coach at the University of New Haven.
